About the toolkits
Who are these toolkits for?
They are for parents and carers of children with SEND in England. Whether you are just starting the EHCP process, preparing for a review, trying to communicate with school or supporting your child at home - each toolkit is designed for a specific situation.
Are these legal advice?
Are the EHCP resources specific to England?
Yes. The EHCP content is written specifically for the SEND system in England, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have different systems. The SEND Home Toolkit and the maths games are suitable for families anywhere in the UK.
Which toolkit should I start with?
It depends where you are in the process:
If you are just starting an EHCP request: EHCP First Steps Kit
If you need to write your parental views: Parental Contribution Kit
If an annual review is coming up: Annual Review Prep Pack
If you're struggling to communicate with school: SEND School Communication Kit
If home routines are hard: SEND Home Toolkit
If maths is stressful at home: 10 No-Prep SEN Maths Games
You can also use the Start Here section on the homepage to find the right fit.
What format are the toolkits?
All toolkits are A4 PDF downloads. You can print them at home on a standard printer, at a library or at a print shop.
They are designed to be filled in by hand so you can annotate, highlight and bring them to meetings. They are not editable in a word processor.
Are the free guides actually free?
Yes. All the articles and guides on this website are completely free. No email address required, no paywall.
The paid toolkits are separate - they are printable PDFs that go further than the articles and give you templates, trackers and checklists to use in real situations.
Buying & downloading
How do I receive my download after buying?
All toolkits are delivered instantly through Payhip. After payment you receive an email from Payhip with a download link. There is no account to create and no waiting time.
If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If it's still not there, contact us with your order details and we'll resend it.
Do I need a Payhip account to buy?
No. You can check out as a guest on Payhip. You only need to provide an email address for your download link. Payhip is a secure, established digital download platform.
Can I print as many copies as I need?
Yes. Once you have purchased a toolkit you can print as many copies as you need for your own personal use. You cannot share the PDF file with others or sell printed copies.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payhip accepts all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal. Payment is processed securely by Payhip. Family Daily Toolkit does not store any payment information.
Refunds & problems
Can I get a refund?
Because these are digital downloads, we are not able to offer automatic refunds once a file has been downloaded. This is standard for digital products.
However, if you bought the wrong toolkit, the file didn't arrive or there is a technical problem, email us and we will do our best to help. See our full refunds policy.
My download link has expired - what do I do?
Payhip download links expire after a set number of uses or time period. If your link has expired, email us with your order confirmation and we will send you a new link.
I think there is an error in a toolkit - who do I tell?
Please contact us. We take accuracy seriously, especially on EHCP content. If something is out of date or incorrect we will update it and notify customers who have purchased that resource where possible.
