About us
Built by a SEND family, for SEND families.
Family Daily Toolkit creates plain-English printable resources for parents navigating the SEND system in England. No jargon. No legal fees. Just practical tools for real situations.
Our story
The SEND system should not feel like homework.
We are a family with lived experience of the EHCP process in England. We know what it feels like to sit in a meeting and not know what to say. To write an email to school and delete it three times because you're not sure of the tone. To fill in a form at midnight because the day is finally quiet enough to think.
We made these resources because we couldn't find what we needed when we needed it. Not buried inside a legal guide. Not locked behind a subscription. Not written for professionals.
We made them for the kitchen table. To be printed, filled in, brought to meetings and actually used.
Everything on this site is written in plain English. The EHCP content is specific to the system in England. Where we point you towards professional support - legal or therapeutic - we say so clearly.
Family Daily Toolkit is a small, independent business. Every resource is created with care. If something isn't clear, useful or well-written, we want to know. Contact us any time.
What we stand for
Three things we will always protect.
Plain English
Every word is tested against the question: would a tired parent understand this at 11pm? If the answer is no, we rewrite it. No acronyms without explanation. No legal hedging without a reason.
Specific to your situation
Generic guidance is everywhere. We build each resource around a specific moment in a family's journey - a meeting coming up, a form to fill, a letter to write. Not a general overview.
Made with care
These resources are built from lived experience, not a consultancy brief. We know the emotional weight of this journey and we design every page with that in mind.
Honest about what we are
Important to say clearly.
We are not
Legal advisers
Our resources are practical guidance and printable templates. They are not legal advice. For formal legal help with your EHCP, contact IPSEA or SOS!SEN. Both offer free advice.
We are not
Therapists or clinicians
We do not provide medical, therapeutic or clinical guidance. Our home and learning resources are practical tools, not interventions.
We are
Parents who have been there
We have gone through the EHCP process in England. We know the paperwork, the meetings, the emails. We built the tools we wished we had.
We are
A small independent business
Every toolkit is created and sold by a small family-run business. No venture capital. No agency. Just a family making useful things for other families.
